Born and raised in Denmark, Deda came to the United States over 20 years ago. She has traveled the world several times over with her husband, running their scuba diving and underwater photography business. Deda previously lived in Hawaii and Colorado, but she is happily settled in New Hampshire, which she has called home for the last decade. "We have everything in our wonderful State," she says. "Great lifestyle, open spaces, horse back riding, skiing, farms, clean air, low crime, ocean, mountains, lakes, rivers, culture, wonderful fairs, wildlife...we have it all."
Deda lives in the foothills of the White Mountains on a 260 acre horse and tree farm, which she operates with her husband. Besides caring for their herd of 8 horses and 3 dogs, she teaches and hosts horsemanship clinics. Her focus is on the exciting new discipline, Western Dressage.
She co-authored the coffee table photographic book, In a Sea of Dreams, winner of the World Grand Prize for Best Book of Underwater Photography. Deda was inducted into the Women's Divers Hall of Fame years ago.
"After being in real estate for a while, I came to realize that farms and land, whether large or small, are my true interests. I am delighted to be part of the Farms & Barns team. I love their vision and ideals. I look forward to helping others find their perfect piece of heaven, and who share the same interest in farming, horses, preserving our open spaces and our special life." Deda brings her passion and expertise in owning and operating a significant horse farm to her real estate endeavors.
