Birgitte (Deda) Wilms
Born and raised in Denmark, Birgitte (Deda) came to the United States over 20 years ago. She has traveled the world several times over running a scuba diving and underwater photography business. Deda previously lived in Hawaii, California and Colorado, but she is happily settled in New Hampshire, which she has called home for the last decade. “We have everything here in our wonderful state,” she says. “Great lifestyle, open spaces, horse back riding, skiing, farms, clean air, low crime, ocean, mountains, lakes, river, culture, wonderful fairs, wildlife….we have it all.”
Deda lives in the foothills of the White Mountains on a 255 acre horse and tree farm. Besides caring for a large herd of horses and 3 dogs, she teaches and hosts horsemanship clinics. Her focus is on the exciting new discipline, Western Dressage.
A great accomplishment for Deda is that she co-authored the coffee table photographic book, “In a Sea of Dreams”, winner of the World Grand Prize for Best Book of Underwater Photography. Deda was inducted into the Women’s Divers Hall of Fames years ago.
“After being in real estate for a while, I came to realize that farms and land, whether large or small, are my true interests. I am delighted to be part of the Farms & Barns team. I love their vision and ideals. I look forward to helping others find their perfect piece of heaven, and who share the same interest in farming, horses, preserving our open spaces and a special life.” Deda brings her passion and expertise in owning and operating a significant horse farm to her real estate endeavors.
Her education is ongoing, most recently receiving her Certified Buyer Representative ® designation.
