Shooting Star Farm is a well-known breeding farm, raising and training fine Dutch Warmblood horses and is set up as such. The nearly-new facility is attractive, comfortable, peaceful, and functional with an emphasis the care and comfort of your horses, and that of your clients, visitors and students. If breeding and/or training is what you love, move in, and continue or expand your passion. With 28 stalls on the farm, there are also many options for boarding and lessons programs or a combination of both.
The Shooting Star is very private, and is sited along a town-maintained dirt road. For a change of scenery for you and your horses, enjoy a quiet hack off farm. For diehard trail riders, 13,000-acre Pisgah State Park, with about 62 miles of trails, practically abuts the farm.
The heart of southwestern New Hampshire is the small city of Keene, just a 15 minute drive. Here you'll find all the necessities along great shopping and restaurants. Of interest to equestrians: Cheshire Fairgrounds with an annual horse show series is just 20 minutes from the farm; Green Mountain Horse Association (GMHA) South Woodstock, VT - 75 minutes; Eastern States Expo - 75 minutes. Besides several big horse shows, the Big E is host to the annual Equine Affaire. Don't forget to visit the Equestrian Hall of Fame while there! The Big E is one of the Top 10 fairs in the US and is unique in that it represents all 6 NE states!
We highly recommend that you contact the local zoning, planning and/or building department to confirm your intended use of any property as part of your due diligence prior to purchase. Don’t assume that because you see a property for sale or neighboring properties being used a certain way that you can do the same. Zoning regulations can change, some properties may “grandfathered” or operating under a variance or special exception that may not be transferable to you so you should always verify for yourself that you can use, expand or modify a property in the manner you intend.
